We believe that legal research and writing formed one of the key features of legal practice. It is also possible to earn CPD points by writing articles for publication in print media (eg: books, journals, newspapers and magazines), and online media (eg: blogs and websites), and a host of other platforms.
As a guideline, you could earn one CPD point for every 800 words published, provided that the publications comprise substantial legal content; and the publication is created for the purpose of legal, professional or community development.
To start you off on your writing and publication journey, the CPD Department is pleased to announce the inaugural Legal Writing Challenge 2015. This may be a chance to pit your legal writing skills against other Members for a chance to win a free seat to the International Malaysia Law Conference 2016 (”IMLC 2016”) worth approximately RM1,000!
