We are working to put in place the necessary platforms to ensure that you benefit from the implementation of the CPD Scheme. There are four primary platforms for face-to-face training. These are:

(a) Face-to-face training opportunities which you can participate in through:

  • CPD Camps;
  • CPD events conducted by Bar Council or the State Bar Committees where you are based;
  • CPD Roundtable events that you organise with your peers; and
  • In-house legal training events that are conducted within your legal firm.

(b) CPD on Demand: The Malaysian Bar online training platform.

CPD Camps

To ensure you have the best experience, we will provide basic level training in the following areas:

Banking and Finance Civil Litigation Company Law Conveyancing
Criminal Litigation Family Law Human Rights Industrial Relations
Islamic Law

Each CPD Camp will be a four-hour immersion into one of these areas so that you leave armed with the critical knowledge to work on this area immediately after the training. The trainers are Members of the Bar who are generously sharing their time and expertise with you.

You will receive 4 CPD points for participation in the CPD Camp, and will only be required to pay between RM20 to RM30, per event. Take part in two CPD Camps per CPD Cycle and you’ll be halfway done!

The Survey

We sent you a survey to get your feedback before the implementation of the CPD Camps from 1 July 2016 onwards. The survey is still open and may be accessed here. Tell us how we can make the CPD Camps work for you.
