The third issue of the CPD e-Newsletter highlights to Members of the Malaysian Bar, the planned events and activities for 2016, with particular emphasis on a proposal for the implementation of the CPD Scheme.
2015 was replete with diverse activities and events, and for the current CPD cycle, which runs from 1 July 2014 until 30 June 2016, I am pleased to highlight that, as at December 2015, a total of 835 training events, both face-to-face and via the online platform, have been made available to Members and pupils. Of the total number mentioned, 395 were organised and conducted by the Bar Council. That is an average of 21 events organised by the Bar Council per month since July 2014!
This issue discusses the feasibility of implementing the CPD Scheme, and raises some of the considerations that ought to be taken into account, in making this decision.
For a broad overview, we have created a series of Frequently-Asked-Questions ("FAQs") for you. The top ten FAQs are available here, while more detailed information can be found here.
